HELA cells were co-stained with MitoBright Red Probe and DAPI Reagent (25 μg/mL) (E-CK-A163).
 |
Jurkat cells were induced with 0μM or 5 μM camptothecin for 4h, and then the cells were collected and stained with MitoBright Red Probe. The result shows that the mitochondrial membrane potential decreased with enhanced apoptosis, and the MitoBright Red Probe fluorescence brightness decreased.

| Application | FCM |
| Usage | As an indicator of fluorescent staining of intact mitochondria in living cells; It can be used for mitochondrial flow cytometry, multi-drug resistance identification and determination of mitochondrial mass change during apoptosis. |
| Detection Instrument | fluorescence microscope;Flow Cytometer |
| Tested Sample Types | Cell samples |
| Assay Time | 30 min |
| Detection Type | Fluorometric method;Flow cytometry;cell culture |
| Test Principle | MitoBright Red Probe is a lipophilic, cationic fluorescent dye for labeling mitochondria in living cells with a mild sulfhydryl-responsive chloromethyl functional group that covalently reacts with sulfhydryl groups on proteins and polypeptides in the mitochondrial matrix to form a thioester bond, which aggregates within the mitochondria. |
