Wavelength sets

Wavelength sets are named and color coded for the color of theexcitation light, not the color of the emitted fluorescence.

With the Royal Blue (RB) excitation we offer two barrier filters – longpass and bandpass. Read our Technical Data Sheet above on selecting the right passband option for your application.

The NIGHTSEA system works best with long working distance Dino-Lite Edge models. Higher magnification units have very short working distances, making it difficult to direct the NIGHTSEA light source onto the subject. Below are four compatible white light models.

The Dino-Lite Edge 1.3 MP is an all-in-one device that was designed to meet professional applications within 10x - 140x magnifications at longer working distance.

It integrates premium Edge Series features Extended Depth of Field (EDOF), Automatic Magnification Reading (AMR) and Flexible LED Control (FLC).

This Dino-Lite microscope model connects via USB, but can also be wireless with the optional WF-20 Wireless Streamer, adding further versatility. Thanks to a long battery and stable WiFi image transmission, the WF-20 makes it a a completely cordless and portable microscope that is well suited for field applications.

You can also use the WF-20 as a wireless router for staying connected to the internet or network during use.

The Dino-Lite 5 MP Edge, with a magnification range of 10x - 140x and a longer working distance, delivers high-resolution imaging. This model combines popular image processing features Extended Depth of Field (EDOF), Extended Dynamic Range (EDR), and Automatic Magnification Reading (AMR).

EDOF is an easy-to-use focus stacking feature that captures several images at different focal points and then stacks them automatically into one clear image.

For high contrast or reflective surfaces, EDR will show the details of dark or bright areas, by stacking images taken at different exposure levels.

It uses fluent and crisp live imaging through the use of cutting-edge optics, advanced 5 MP sensor, and low-loss MJPEG compression to provide long working distance.

For better adaptability, the innovative Flexible LED Control (FLC) enables partial illumination to enhance edge contrast with intensity adjustability.

With its rugged metal housing, built-on adjustable polarizer, and interchangeable front caps, this model is the tool of choice for a wide range of applications.

This model is capable of providing 45FPS at 1280 x 960 resolution, allowing use in a wide range of difficult applications.

Automatic Magnification Reading (AMR) and Extended Depth of Field (available on Windows) are included. EDOF lets users automatically capture multiple images and different depths, and automatically combine them into one clear image.

Along with the built-on polarizer, interchangeable front caps, and rugged metal housing, this model features flexible LED Control (FLC) that enables partial illumination control options to enhance edge contrast and provide intensity adjustment for more versatility.

The NIGHTSEA system can add performance to some of the Dino-Lite fluorescence models. It can become difficult for the built-in LEDs to provide sufficient excitation on the subject at longer working distances. The NIGHTSEA source is more powerful and can be placed close to the subject.

Optimized for research and viewing, including fluorescent objects, using blue LEDs for excitation, the Dino-Lite Edge digital microscope has a 510nm emission filter to observe green fluorescence including green fluorescent protein.

It features the updated 1.3 megapixel Edge Series sensor that allows you to capture or record at 1.3 megapixels and, depending on the working distance, will magnify up to 220x.

Green fluorescent objects pop out under this handheld microscope with the green glow clearly visible. If you prefer to observe without this feature, you can switch the light source from the excitation lights to white light, letting you conveniently locate and focus on the object. For capturing green fluorescent objects, simply switch back to the main lighting.

This Dino-Lite Edge digital microscope model was designed for applications in which GFP and MCherry are used in the same specimen, so that no switching of microscopes and/or lighting and filters is necessary.

It is optimized for research and viewing objects involving fluorescent objects using 2 different sets of LEDs, 4 Blue LEDs at an excitation of 480nm, and 4 Yellow LEDs at an excitation of 575nm, which are switchable through the software, and emission at 510nm/610nm.

Green fluorescent objects pop out under this handheld microscope and you can clearly see its green glow.

This handheld digital microscope is great for research with cyan and a wide range of fluorescence.

It comes with a high quality 1.3 megapixel sensor. With this model, you can view objects at different magnifications, depending on distance, with the maximum magnification at over 200x under UV-fluorescent light.

This model also comes with built-in near UV-fluorescent LEDs that cleverly integrate special 400nm LED excitation lights and a high-pass type emission filter that cuts off at 430nm into a Dino-Lite digital microscope.

This model offers the advantage of viewing and identifying desired magnified objects under normal LED white light and then switching to fluorescent ultra violet lighting. The newly enhanced UV filtering system offers better fluorescence contrast for use in forensics, biomedical or machine vision applications.

It's ideal for engineering, medical, and scientific research, along with industrial quality control (parts inspection, failure analysis), dermatology (skin/scalp) exam, and law enforcement (counterfeit ID, crime lab, CSI, etc).
